The terms, conditions, and details of our warranty vary from product to product. Specific warranty details can be found below.

Tamerx Diesel Products provides a replacement warranty on all of our parts. The duration and mileage limitations of the warranty vary by product and are specified on the product's detail page/item listing.

Please note that the warranty covers replacement of the part and the cost of shipping the replacement part to you only. It does not cover any shop, labor, towing, or any similar or related costs. This is not a "money back guarantee".

If you experience a problem with your part or it is not functioning properly, the correct warranty procedure is to call us at (510) 257-1777 (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM ET Monday through Friday). As is the case for the majority of the diesel products sold on Tamerx Diesel Products, your part's warranty is active as soon as you install it. In some other cases, warranty activation is contingent upon you sending us your core (i.e., your old part). Tamerx Diesel Products will provide you a return shipping label for parts that have a warranty with a core return condition. When we have received your core return, the part's warranty coverage begins. We reserve the right to void the product warranty if your core is not received within the allotted time, or if it isn't received at all. If the warranty for the diesel part you are purchasing has a core return requirement, it will be clearly noted on the product detail page/item listing.

What is a Core Charge?

A core charge (also called "core deposit") is similar to the deposit you might pay for a can or bottle of soda and is a standard requirement in the auto parts industry. For example, in many states, to promote recycling, you pay a deposit when you purchase a can of soda and receive your deposit back when you return the empty can. Many automotive parts have a core charge, or core price, that works in essentially the same way as a soda can deposit.

30 Day Core Charge Hold

You authorize Tamerx Diesel Products, to hold your credit card for the specified core charge amount and that you agree to return your core with 30 days of receiving the purchased part. When we have received your core return, the hold is released and the core charge payment is canceled.

A fuel line leak can be a serious issue that not only affects your vehicle’s performance but also poses a significant safety risk. Detecting and addressing a fuel line leak early can prevent more severe problems and ensure your vehicle remains safe to drive. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to check for a fuel line leak, so you can address any issues promptly.

  • Inspect for Visible Signs of Leakage

    • Start by visually inspecting the area around the fuel lines, fuel tank, and engine bay. Look for any signs of wet spots, dripping fuel, or stains that could indicate a leak. Pay special attention to areas where the fuel line connects to other components, as these are common spots for leaks to occur.

  • Smell for Gasoline Odor

    • A strong smell of gasoline around your vehicle, especially when it’s parked, is a common sign of a fuel line leak. If you notice this odor, it’s crucial to inspect the fuel lines immediately, as leaking fuel can be hazardous.

  • Check for Low Fuel Pressure

    • If your vehicle has a fuel pressure gauge, check the pressure while the engine is running. A drop in fuel pressure could indicate a leak in the fuel line, as the system is unable to maintain the necessary pressure for efficient operation.

  • Listen for Hissing Sounds

    • With the engine running, listen for any hissing sounds coming from the fuel line area. A hissing sound can indicate a small leak, especially if it’s accompanied by a gasoline odor or visible signs of fuel.

  • Inspect Fuel Line Connections and Clamps

    • Check the connections and clamps along the fuel line to ensure they are secure. Loose or damaged clamps can cause leaks, and tightening or replacing them may resolve the issue. Inspect the rubber hoses for cracks or wear, as these can also be sources of leaks.

  • Use a Fuel Leak Detection Dye

    • If you’re having trouble locating the leak, consider using a fuel leak detection dye. Add the dye to the fuel tank and use a UV light to trace the fuel line. The dye will glow under the UV light, making it easier to spot the leak.

Checking for a fuel line leak is essential for maintaining your vehicle’s safety and performance. By inspecting for visible signs of leakage, smelling for gasoline odor, checking fuel pressure, listening for hissing sounds, inspecting connections and clamps, and using a fuel leak detection dye, you can effectively identify and address any leaks. If you suspect a fuel line leak, it’s important to take action immediately to prevent further damage and ensure your vehicle remains safe to drive. Regular inspections and maintenance are key to keeping your fuel system in top condition.
