As is the case for the majority of the diesel products sold on Tamerx Diesel Products, your part's warranty is active as soon as you install it. In some other cases, warranty activation is contingent upon you sending us your core (i.e., your old part). Tamerx Diesel Products will provide you a return shipping label for parts that have a warranty with a core return condition. When we have received your core return, the part's warranty coverage begins. We reserve the right to void the product warranty if your core is not received within the allotted time, or if it isn't received at all. If the warranty for the diesel part you are purchasing has a core return requirement, it will be clearly noted on the product detail page/item listing.
What is a Core Charge?
A core charge (also called "core deposit") is similar to the deposit you might pay for a can or bottle of soda and is a standard requirement in the auto parts industry. For example, in many states, to promote recycling, you pay a deposit when you purchase a can of soda and receive your deposit back when you return the empty can. Many automotive parts have a core charge, or core price, that works in essentially the same way as a soda can deposit.
30 Day Core Charge Hold
You authorize Tamerx Diesel Products, to hold your credit card for the specified core charge amount and that you agree to return your core with 30 days of receiving the purchased part. When we have received your core return, the hold is released and the core charge payment is canceled.

The Kubota V3800T diesel engine, used in compact construction and industrial equipment, relies on a precise fuel system to maintain consistent operation. One of the most critical components in that system is the high pressure fuel pump, specifically the OEM 1J508-50500, designed for model years 2011 through 2016.
This fuel pump regulates the delivery of diesel to the injectors under high pressure, timed with the engine’s cycle. If your machine shows signs of rough starts, inconsistent idle, or low fuel efficiency, the fuel pump may need replacement.
Key features of the OEM 1J508-50500 fuel pump include:
- Durable Housing
- Resists wear in tough working environments
- Precision Plunger Assembly
- Controls fuel flow under high pressure
- Fuel Inlet and Return Ports
- Designed for easy integration with Kubota’s fuel lines
- Seal and Gasket System
- Minimizes the risk of leaks
- Exact Fit for V3800T Engines
- No modifications needed
Always verify the OEM number 1J508-50500 before ordering to ensure compatibility with your Kubota V3800T engine.
This component supports steady fuel delivery for equipment used in agriculture, construction, and utility applications.
A failed high pressure fuel pump (HPFP) can cause a variety of noticeable issues. Since the HPFP is critical for delivering the correct amount of fuel to your engine's fuel rail, any malfunction can disrupt the fuel system’s operation. Here are common symptoms to watch for:
Common Signs of a Failed High Pressure Fuel Pump:
- Hard Starting or No Start
- The engine may crank longer than usual or fail to start altogether due to insufficient fuel pressure.
- Engine Stalling
- Sudden stalls, especially under load or during acceleration, can point to inconsistent fuel delivery.
- Rough Idling
- A shaky or uneven idle may indicate the pump is struggling to supply steady fuel flow.
- Poor Fuel Economy
- You might notice a decrease in miles per gallon as the system compensates for fuel delivery issues.
- Illuminated Check Engine Light
- Diagnostic codes related to fuel pressure or misfires can signal HPFP failure.
- Loss of Acceleration Response
- The engine may hesitate or feel sluggish when the gas pedal is pressed.
- Fuel Odor or Leaks
- Fuel leaks near the pump or a strong fuel smell can suggest internal issues.
If you experience any of these symptoms, it’s wise to have the fuel system inspected with proper diagnostic tools to confirm whether the high pressure fuel pump is the source of the issue.
Yes, hard starts and poor fuel delivery are common symptoms of a failing high pressure pump.
Yes, the pump is mounted externally and can typically be serviced without removing the head.
Yes, the fuel system must be properly primed to remove air and ensure correct operation after pump replacement.
Signs include low fuel rail pressure, engine hesitation, and diagnostic trouble codes related to fuel delivery.
