Tamerx Diesel Products ships via UPS Ground. Next day air shipping can be arranged for a reasonable price of anywhere from $50.00 - $100.00 depending on the weight of the product and your location. We will do everything we can to make sure that you get the service you need. We understand how important it is to receive your order as quickly as possible.
In most cases Tamerx Diesel Products only needs one address, as long as your product is shipping to the same location as your billing information. In order to eliminate credit card fraud, your billing information must match the credit card you provide.

The terms, conditions, and details of our warranty vary from product to product. Specific warranty details can be found below.

Tamerx Diesel Products provides a replacement warranty on all of our parts. The duration and mileage limitations of the warranty vary by product and are specified on the product's detail page/item listing.

Please note that the warranty covers replacement of the part and the cost of shipping the replacement part to you only. It does not cover any shop, labor, towing, or any similar or related costs. This is not a "money back guarantee".

If you experience a problem with your part or it is not functioning properly, the correct warranty procedure is to call us at (510) 257-1777 (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM ET Monday through Friday). Be sure to have your order number and/or other relevant order information ready so we can easily locate your order and resolve your issue as quickly as possible. From that point, we will review with you any troubleshooting steps that may need to be taken and other areas or systems that can be checked to rule out external problems contributing to your part's issue. If a replacement is determined to be necessary, we will then arrange for your replacement part to ship out ASAP and issue any necessary return shipping labels and/or documents.

As is the case for the majority of the diesel products sold on Tamerx Diesel Products, your part's warranty is active as soon as you install it. In some other cases, warranty activation is contingent upon you sending us your core (i.e., your old part). Tamerx Diesel Products will provide you a return shipping label for parts that have a warranty with a core return condition. When we have received your core return, the part's warranty coverage begins. We reserve the right to void the product warranty if your core is not received within the allotted time, or if it isn't received at all. If the warranty for the diesel part you are purchasing has a core return requirement, it will be clearly noted on the product detail page/item listing.

What is a Core Charge?

A core charge (also called "core deposit") is similar to the deposit you might pay for a can or bottle of soda and is a standard requirement in the auto parts industry. For example, in many states, to promote recycling, you pay a deposit when you purchase a can of soda and receive your deposit back when you return the empty can. Many automotive parts have a core charge, or core price, that works in essentially the same way as a soda can deposit.

30 Day Core Charge Hold

You authorize Tamerx Diesel Products, to hold your credit card for the specified core charge amount and that you agree to return your core with 30 days of receiving the purchased part. When we have received your core return, the hold is released and the core charge payment is canceled.

The Cummins 6BT engine is known for its durability and reliability, and a key component that contributes to its performance is the turbo assembly. The OEM 3802289RX turbocharger helps boost the power and efficiency of the engine by delivering compressed air to the cylinders, resulting in better combustion. Maintaining this turbo assembly is critical for ensuring your Cummins 6BT engine continues running smoothly for years.

The Role of the Cummins 6BT Turbo Assembly

  • Increases Engine Power
    • The turbocharger compresses the air going into the engine, which allows for more fuel to be burned. This results in increased horsepower without the need for a larger engine.
  • Improves Fuel Efficiency
    • By delivering more air for combustion, the turbo helps achieve better fuel efficiency. This is especially important for vehicles operating under heavy loads.
  • Reduces Emissions
    • Turbochargers improve engine efficiency, which can lead to lower exhaust emissions, an important factor for meeting environmental regulations.
  • Ensures Durability
    • Built to withstand the demands of heavy-duty use, the OEM 3802289RX turbocharger is designed to last while maintaining optimal performance.

Tips for Maintaining Your Cummins 6BT Turbo Assembly

  • Regular Oil Changes
    • The turbo relies heavily on proper lubrication. Keeping up with regular oil changes ensures the turbo’s components are well-lubricated and reduces wear and tear.
  • Inspect for Leaks
    • Make sure to check for any oil or coolant leaks around the turbo assembly. Leaks can compromise the turbo’s function and lead to more serious engine issues.
  • Monitor Boost Levels
    • Use a boost gauge to keep track of turbo performance. Any significant drops in boost pressure may indicate an issue with the turbo.
  • Clean Air Filter
    •  A clean air filter helps prevent debris from entering the turbo, reducing the risk of damage. Replace the filter as recommended by the manufacturer.

The Cummins 6BT Turbo Assembly (OEM 3802289RX) is a vital component for enhancing engine power, efficiency, and longevity. Regular maintenance of your turbocharger will ensure your Cummins 6BT engine continues to deliver reliable performance. For high-quality replacement parts and expert advice, rely on TamerX Diesel Parts to keep your engine running at its best.

The turbocharger is responsible for boosting your engine’s performance by increasing air intake, improving power, and enhancing fuel efficiency. However, when the turbo assembly starts to fail, it can significantly impact your vehicle’s performance and lead to further engine damage. While it may be possible to drive with a faulty turbo, doing so is not recommended.

  • Loss of Power

    •  A faulty turbo will lead to reduced engine power, especially during acceleration or when driving uphill. This could make driving more difficult, especially in demanding situations.

  • Increased Fuel Consumption

    •  When the turbo isn’t working properly, the engine compensates by burning more fuel, resulting in decreased fuel efficiency.

  • Excessive Smoke

    •  A damaged turbo may cause oil to leak into the exhaust system, leading to excessive smoke. This can also contribute to increased emissions and possible damage to the catalytic converter.

  • Potential for Engine Damage

    • Continuing to drive with a faulty turbo can cause further damage to engine components, such as the exhaust system, intercooler, and even the engine itself.

  • Noisy Operation

    •  A failing turbo often produces unusual noises, such as high-pitched whistling or whining, due to worn-out bearings or damaged internal components.

While you may be able to drive with a faulty turbo assembly, doing so can lead to reduced power, poor fuel efficiency, and further engine damage. If you suspect your turbo is failing, it’s best to have it inspected and repaired promptly to avoid costly repairs and maintain optimal engine performance. Regular maintenance can also help extend the life of your turbo assembly.

With proper maintenance and clean oil, it can operate effectively for several hundred thousand miles.

Contaminated oil, restricted airflow, or overheating can lead to premature bearing and seal failure.

Keep oil and filters clean, inspect hoses for leaks, and ensure the intake and exhaust systems are clear.

The engine will lose boost pressure, reduce power significantly, and may emit excessive smoke or noise.
