Navistar says it has completed transition to SCR

According to Navistar, the transition to SCR Overdrive Staff is complete.
As part of the company's transition to SCR, Navistar announced that the International LoneStar will now be powered by the Cummins ISX15.
The maker of International trucks, Navistar, asserts that the transition from exhaust gas recirculation-only engines to selective catalytic reduction exhaust aftertreatment technology has been completed in order to comply with the engine emissions regulations.
The company announced today that the LoneStar on-highway tractor powered by the Cummins ISX1515 is now for sale.
The transition process began iwhen it became evident that the company's unique MaxxForce engines would not be able to satisfy emissions standards with EGR alone. Navistar was able to offer Cummins' ISX15 as an alternative to their MaxxForce 15 engine because of a partnership with Cummins.
It also began using Cummins SCR aftertreatment equipment on its 13-liter MaxxForce engines.
For on-highway use, the International ProStar was the first car compatible with the ISX15. In April of this year, ProStar first made the MaxxForce 13 with SCR available. Navistar presently offers the PaySTar 5900 and International 9900i with the Cummins ISX15. Compatible with the PayStar, TranStar, and WorkStar is the MaxForce 13 with SCR.
