Navistar Ships SCR-Equipped Vocational Models

Vocational models are shipped by Navistar with SCR.
Navistar Inc. has been supplying clients with two variations of its own 9.3-liter engine equipped with selective catalytic reduction emissions technology.
According to a statement from Navistar, International DuraStar and WorkStar vehicles powered by MaxxForce 9 and MaxxForce 10 diesels, which have a 9.3-liter, 6-cylinder displacement but different power ratings, are achieving fuel-economy improvements of up to 8% compared to earlier models that relied on exhaust gas recirculation emissions technology.
275 horsepower and 860 pound-feet of torque to 330 horsepower and 950 pound-feet of torque are the MaxxForce 9 ratings for International DuraStar trucks. WorkStar vehicles have two engine options: the MaxxForce 10 with stats up to 350 horsepower and 1,150 pound-feet of torque, or the 275 horsepower/860 pound-foot engine.
The engines underwent thorough testing in Alaska, Colorado, and Arizona employing a range of commercial duty cycles, including garbage hauling, utility trucks, dump trucks, and sewer pumpers, according to the manufacturer.
