Heavy Duty Cummins ISX 12 Engine's Reliability

The ISX12 is the heavy-duty Cummins engine you’ve been looking for.

In work vehicles employed in the construction and other industries, the fuel economy has increased by 12%, while in regional applications, it has increased by 5%.

Since its first release in 2010, the heavy-duty Cummins ISX 12 has not undergone any physical changes. The engine's architecture and exhaust gas recirculation are based on the ISX15 big-bore engine (EGR). The new numerical identification is easier to read than the ISX15 and ISL9 Cummins models.

In March 2012, the Cummins ISX12 engine's entire production cycle began.

The ISX12 produces 1,150 to 1,650 lb-ft of torque and 320 to 425 horsepower. The heavy duty Cummins ISX 12 has a Smart Torque rating in the 1,250-1,350-1,450-1,650 range and an on-highway horsepower rating in the 310-425 range. Because of the additional torque that the SmartTorque ratings unleash in the top ratios, drivers may climb hills with fewer downshifts.

In addition to integrated rear-engine power take-off (REPTO) and front-engine power take-off (FEPTO) drives, there are options for hydraulic drives.
