Check Out The MaxxForce 11/13 Class 8 diesel engine

The MaxxForce 11 and MaxxForce 13 big-bore engines, according to the manufacturer, now provide heavy commercial truck buyers with a powerful, long-lasting, fuel-efficient, and startlingly quiet power plant in a package with a truck engine incorporated. These engines are also supported by the largest network of commercial truck service locations in the United States and Canada.

The MaxxForce big-bore engines are only available as an option in models of the WorkStar severe service tractors, TranStar regional haul tractors, and International ProStar line haul tractors They were created and designed expressly for International brand Class 8 trucks. Six MaxxForce huge bore variants with ratings between 330 and 475 HP and 1,250 and 1,700 lb.-ft. are available.

International Engine Group President Jack Allen said during a media ride-and-drive event here: "Anticipation has been high since we revealed our approach, and this world-class product will exceed expectations. But you can't completely appreciate its impact unless you hear it, drive it, and learn about its sophisticated mechanisms.

The MaxxForce 11 and MaxxForce 13 incorporate fuel system electronics, air-management system, EGR, and aftertreatment technologies developed by International especially for strong performance at minimal emission levels. This is a first for the North American Class 8 market. According to the manufacturer, these cutting-edge features provide International vehicle owners with four main benefits: exceptional fuel efficiency, good power and torque, quiet operation with low noise, vibration, and harshness, and high strength without increased weight.

The MaxxForce 11 and MaxxForce 13 set the industry standards for heavy-duty diesel performance, drivability, and fuel efficiency thanks to their exceptional efficiency and power characteristics, which were made possible by cutting-edge technologies like a high-pressure common-rail fuel system, twin-series turbochargers with interstage coolers, and the heat-management system called Eco-Therm.

At 1,000 RPM, the innovative fuel- and air-management systems deliver immediate responsiveness. This results in fewer downshifts during grade climbs and earlier acceleration upshifts. As a result, MaxxForce big-bore engines continue to operate more frequently in the lower speed range, which is by nature where fuel economy is greatest. Peak torque is typically not reached by other 11- and 13-L engines until higher engine rpm.
