Mack unveils powerfully efficient MP7 405SE engine

Mack introduces the potently effective MP7 405SE engine
With 405 horsepower and 1,560 lb-ft of torque, the MP7 405SE optimizes fuel efficiency while offering all the power required for the job.
The Super Econodyne system was developed to generate a fully functional Mack Pedigree Powertrain using just Mack-exclusive parts. Without compromising power or performance, the MP7 engine, Mack mDRIVE automated manual transmission (AMT), distinctive drive axles from Mack, and unique software from Mack combine to offer industry-leading fuel efficiency.
The MP7 is the most current Mack engine to be supplied with the Super Econodyne designation, according to Roy Horton, director of product marketing at Mack. In comparison to the MP7 and AMT package that comes standard, customers who buy the fuel-efficient MP7 SE package with the overdrive AMT and Mack's C125/126 axles may notice a fuel efficiency improvement of up to 4%.
A great power-to-weight ratio makes the little MP7 ideal for boosting payloads. The Mack Pinnacle variations of the Greenhouse Gas certified MP7 405SE are ideal for regional and bulk haul applications up to 80,000 pounds on mainly level terrain and up to 70,000 pounds on rolling hills.
The MP7 405SE, according to Horton, delivers the recognizable Mack power and performance that customers have come to expect from an integrated Mack Pedigree Powertrain, but with even higher fuel efficiency. It enables our customers to increase payloads, conserve fuel, and increase their return on investment without sacrificing power.
